what i'm working on [may 27th, 2026]

agentic ai, an mcp from scratch, eval frameworks, and finally shipping this site

  • updates
  • projects

if you're reading this, i finally shipped my personal website! it was a two week sprint, involving a ton of ideation, design, implementation, and refinement (full process writeup coming soon). there's still more i want to do, like linking my writing to a proper blogging platform (substack or wordpress maybe?), integrating obsidian for easier maintenance. honestly i have no idea how this site will hold up under live so maybe setting up some basic bot protection.

but the bulk of it is done. my main focus right now is agentic ai systems, specifically how to build, orchestrate, and evaluate agents that actually work reliably. this motivates the projects i'm planning to work on:

building an mcp

there's no better way to understand something than to build it yourself, so i'm building one from scratch. status: in progress

self-improving agent eval framework

super excited to work on this one once i finish the others - i want to build my own framework that not only tests agent behaviour against structured tasks, but uses those results to iteratively improve the agent. i'm gonna really dive deep with this one - i wanna understand trace collection, llm-as-judge design, failure mode taxonomy, prompt optimization, and actually closing the loop between eval and refinement. status: not started

digital companion

a conversational companion that holds shared memories with my family so we have a way to keep connections alive across distance. still figuring it out but my dad requested this one. status: not started

others

building in public, writing about what i'm up to as i go (without ai because i want to develop my own voice). not just meeting new people but actually building genuine connections. exploring personal knowledge management in obsidian. leading weatherloo for wat.ai. not failing my classes. and making sure i get 8 hours of sleep every night no matter what.
